We collect the information you provide when you create an account (email address and display name) and the content you create within the app (places, visits, reviews, and tags). We also collect anonymous usage analytics through PostHog to understand how features are used.
Your account information is used solely to provide and personalise the Wish & Went experience. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. PostHog analytics are configured without any personally identifiable information — only event names and app-level metadata are sent.
Your data is stored on servers hosted within the European Union. We apply industry-standard security measures to protect it from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the app (Profile → Delete Account), all associated data — places, visits, reviews, and tags — is permanently erased within 30 days.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your display name in the app (Profile → Edit Profile) and delete your entire account from the Profile screen. For any other requests, contact us at alexis.moutsopoulos@gmail.com.
Wish & Went uses Mapbox for place search and map display, and PostHog for anonymous analytics. These services have their own privacy policies.
Wish & Went is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
